National Science Foundation: Graduate Research Fellowship Program's Nordic Research Opportunity
The National Science Foundation is offering research fellowships to enable Fellows to gain international research experience and establish collaborations with counterparts at Norwegian, Finnish, and Danish research institutions. US Environmental Protection Agency:  Science to Achieve Results (STAR) Fellowships for Graduate Environmental Study
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requests proposals for Science to Achieve Results (STAR) Fellowships for Graduate Environmental Study.  Through this RFP, EPA is offering Graduate Fellowships for master?s and doctoral level students in environmental fields of study.  16 Topic Areas identified which include, but are not limited to:  Global Change; Energy; Green Engineering/Building/Chemistry/Materials; and Environmental Behavior and Decision Making.  $4.5 million expected to be available, up to 120 awards anticipated.  Responses due 10/22/09.  For more info, contact Brandon Jones at 2009FellowshipsRFA@epa.gov or go to: http://epa.gov/ncer/rfa/2009/2009_star_gradfellow.html .  Refer to Sol# EPA-F2009-STAR.  (Grants.gov 8/19/09)

The Garden Club of America: Fellowship in Ecological Restoration
The GCA Fellowship supports specialized graduate study and research in ecological restoration at an accredited university in the United States. For more information, click here.

The Deshpande Foundation: Sandbox Fellowship
The Deshande Foundation is seeking fellows for a year long program from June 2010 to June 2011. This is for professionals or post-graduate school candidates who have experience working in on-the-ground development and/or social entrepreneurship and are seeking an extended experience working on these issues. Echoing Green Fellowship
12-20 new social entrepreneurs will be selected who wish to start their own non-profit organization that delivers bold solutions. Winners will receive $60,000 over a two year period and must be 18 or order to apply. Application deadline: December 2, 2009. For more information, click here.

5 $10,000 Eco-Challenge grants for campus based sustainability projects to be completed by Earth Day, April 22, 2010. Proposal Deadline: October 30, 2009. For more information, click here.

Do Something Awards
1 winner will receive $100,000 and 4 winners will receive $10,000 towards their organization or cause which improves the lives of others, empowers others in their community, and combats a problem in his/her community. Application Deadline: December 15, 2009. For more information, click here.

US EPA P3 Awards
A national student design competition for research, development, and design solutions to create sustainability solutions for people, prosperity, and the planet for the issue areas of Energy, Built Environment, Materials and Chemicals, Water, and Agriculture. 40 grant awards selected for Phase I, 6 grant awards for Phase II, for a total of $850,000 for all awards. Truman Scholarship
$30,000 in funding for students pursuing graduate studies work in public service fields. Must be a college junior at the time of selection. Deadline: February 2, 2010. For more information, click here.

Udall Scholarship
Annually awards 80 scholarships of up to $5,000 and 50 honorable mentions of $350 to college-level Sophomores and Juniors committed to careers related to the environment. Award money to be used for educational expenses. Application Deadline: March 2, 2011. For more information, click here.

Wild Gift
5 projects selected to receive $8-15,000 for a 17 month project that promotes "stewardship of wild natures and development of sustainable communities. Application Deadline: April 1, 2010. For more information, click here.

Brower Youth Award
Recognizes 6 young people with $3,000 prizes for their activism and achievements in the environment and environmental justice fields. Application Deadline: May 15, 2010. For more information, click here.
