Environmental Studies Internships

Internships in Environmental Studies add first-hand experience by getting students out of the classroom and into environmental work. Internship locations are varied (see partial list below) but all involve at least 100 hours of service (paid or unpaid), in the summer or during the school year.

To get the Environmental Studies Internship noted on your transcript:
1) Check with your Track Advisor (or the Director) to gain approval of your proposed internship.

2) Do the internship (paid or unpaid). Take some pictures that you could use in a 10-min presentation about your internship, or that we could post on the web.

3) Fill out the one-page Internship Description Form (available on line, or at Director’s office). Return the completed form to the Director (Dr. George Ellmore at TIE or at Barnum 205). Your description will be kept on file, to help other students explore options for their own internships.

4) Add Envst 99 (Internship), using the add/drop form at Tufts, after you complete step 3.
