This year’s Tufts Environmental Literacy Institute focuses on Climate-Safe Energy Futures: Vision, Implementation, and Education.

TIE_workshop_lecture_TELI 2015: Climate-Safe Energy Futures_2015

What would the world need to look like in 2050 to be Climate-Safe and how will we get there?

  • What tools and strategies can and should we implement to achieve a Climate-Safe Energy Future?
  • What obstacles will we likely face in doing so?
  • What do our students need to know to prepare for a climate-safe energy future and how can educators incorporate these concepts and tools into their curricula?

During the week-long workshop, lectures from experts in the environmental field are combined with group learning opportunities and field experiences. Based on our expertise in responding to the participant needs, selected themes cover a wide range of issues including:

  • International Climate Justice
  • Energy Sources and Storage
  • Behavior Change
  • Climate Change Modeling

Daily learning will consist of 2 to 3 speakers on selected topics, interactive presentations, intimate group discussions, and field trips.

Co-led by Charlie Heaps, of the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI), and Antje Danielson, Administrative Director of Tufts Institute of the Environment (TIE).
