Four Tracks. Limitless Paths.

The Tufts Institute of the Environment  (TIE) is proud to announce the launching of our Master’s degree in Sustainable Water Management (SWM). This endeavor marks the start of an exciting new chapter in TIE’s history and offers a unique opportunity for prospective students who are interested in humanitarian water issues and are looking for an opportunity to contribute to emerging solutions and combat challenges within the water sector. TIE_New Master’s Degree_Sustainable Water Management (SWM)

The SWM degree will combine the environmental and academic leadership of Tufts University with TIE’s existing history of water education. The SWM program will build off of the excellence of TIE’s Water: System, Science, and Society certificate program and offer new opportunities for students to emphasize their interests among one of the four focus areas: Water Diplomacy, Water, Food, and Energy, Water Infrastructure for Human Settlements, and WASH in International Development and Humanitarian Response. Tufts University’s legacy of rigorous academic distinction combined with an intensive curriculum which integrates coursework with practical application ensures that the SWM program will be among those that train the next generation of water leaders, paving the future of sustainability for our global challenges.
