TIE Fellow 2017-2018: Kristin Sukys

Kristin Sukys, Master of Science in Agriculture, Food & Environment

I came to Tufts with an interest in food waste that stemmed both from years in the restaurant industry and work as the operations manager for a compost company. While at school, I am focusing on sustainable resource recovery and allocation throughout the food system. In the future, I wish to coordinate local and regional food waste reduction efforts to mitigate climate change and address food insecurity. When I am not geeking out with other food and Ag lovers, you can find me adventuring in mountains or trying to get to know strangers.
