Antje Danielson is the Administrative Director at TIE as well as the graduate interdisciplinary Water: Systems, Science and Society (WSSS) program. She came to Tufts from Durham University (UK), where she served as the Deputy Director for Sustainability, in May 2008. Previously, she worked with the Harvard Green Campus Initiative. A long-time resident of Cambridge, Mass, Antje also co-founded the innovative carsharing company Zipcar. She holds a Ph.D. in Geology from Free University, Berlin.

Emily Geosling (summer 2012)
Emily Geosling is the Program Coordinator for TIE & WSSS. She holds a B.S. in Environmental Science, Policy and Management from the University of California, Berkeley and a M.A. in International Trade Policy from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. She manages the day-to-day TIE operations; coordinates events, graduate fellowships, faculty initiatives, and more; and supervises TIE interns and digital communications. Before coming to Tufts, Emily worked as a Recycling Coordinator for the City of Monterey, California and as a Researcher for Vital Wave Consulting.

Theresa Silver is the interim Communications Specialist at TIE, contributing to various publications, social media presence, and website maintenance with a  background in computer science, event promotion, and multimedia design.

Sarah Shapiro is the Office Assistant at TIE. She is from the Midwest and has B.A. in Art History from the University of Chicago. At TIE, she connects staff, students, faculty, and visitors with the people, information, and resources they need.

 Yota Kaltsa Panagiota Kaltsa is a master’s student at Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy focusing on strategic management and communications. While she holds a degree in International Relations, her working background mainly consists of positions in banking, marketing and public relations where she was actively involved in Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives. Her interest in sustainable development brought her to TIE where she works as a coordinator of the Tufts Environmental Literacy Institute whilst contributing to other projects. In her spare time, she enjoys photography, learning new languages and traveling.

Denise Chin is the graduate intern at TIE. She contributes to ongoing TIE projects by researching topics and issues pertinent to TIE. She is currently pursuing her masters in Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning, with a focus on sustainable food systems. Born and raised in Malaysia, Denise completed her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology at Washington State University. She has volunteered at farms, community gardens and food banks, and interned at a farmers market, which brought together her love for food and interest in sustainability. She is amused by oddly-shaped tomatoes and multi-colored radishes found at farmers markets. She also enjoys traveling.

 Devyn Powell Devyn Powell is a junior from Portland, Oregon currently pursuing a double major in International Relations and Environmental Studies. She is interested in environmental policy and politics, especially in the realms of climate and energy. Outside of her studies and her work with TIE, Devyn pursues her environmental passions by working with advocacy groups and campaigns in the Boston area, and she is a leader within the intercollegiate organization Students for a Just and Stable Future. At TIE, some of Devyn’s responsibilities include social media outreach, communications, and graphic design.

Darius Izadpanah is an intern at TIE and a student in the combined degree program with the SMFA (BA + BFA). He is majoring in Psychology at Tufts and Studio Art at SMFA. Darius grew up in Los Angeles, California, which means he’s pretty much cold all the time in Boston. At TIE, he helps manage TIE’s social media and visual archives.

Caroline Incledon is an intern at TIE and a senior at Tufts. She is majoring in Political Science with a minor in Mass Communications and Media Studies. She has previously worked with international NGOs such as Global Policy Forum and Club de Madrid, and became interested in issues of sustainability while working on issues of responsible investment in higher education. At TIE, she works on social media and various communications projects.

Brynna Bolger is an intern at TIE and a senior at Tufts.  She is a double major in Biology and Environmental Studies.  Brynna is interested in pursuing a career in wildlife ecology and conservation.  She has previously worked at the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge as a natural resources intern.  At TIE, she does research for projects associated with TIE and helps maintain records of work done by past and current TIE and WSSS students.
