Andrea Becerra, Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy

I was born in Santiago, Chile, and moved to Miami when I was nine years old, where I gained an appreciation for the marshy Everglades, mangroves, and Cuban coffee.  I am studying International Environment and Resource Policy at The Fletcher School, where I am focusing most of my energy exploring water issues, particularly as they relate to conflict and security. Before Fletcher, I worked as a Research and Outreach Associate at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), and on sustainable development initiatives in Yucatan, Mexico, and Ayacucho, Peru.
