TIE explores a new medium for conveying academic research through the ongoing Chixoy Dam Project.
Inspired by the work of former TIE Fellow Noah Cohen-Cline, the project communicates his research using a compelling and innovative method: storytelling. Covering issues from clean energy, hydroelectric dam construction, environmental impacts and indigenous rights, read about Maria and her journey as a Maya Achi survivor during the Chixoy dam construction and massacres.
