Join Tufts Environmental Alumni and the Mystic River Watershed Association for a day of service on the beautiful Mystic River.  July 25, 2015 9am-12pm.

Join Tufts alumni from around the world by participating in Jumbo Alumni Service Month (JASM). Throughout the month of July, regional alumni chapters and shared interest groups will sponsor local community service initiatives for Tufts alumni and students. These events will encourage, recognize, and celebrate the tradition of active citizenship at Tufts and beyond. JASM is a collaborative initiative spearheaded by the Tufts University Alumni Association, Jonathan M. Tisch College of Citizenship and Public Service, and the Active Citizens of Tufts alumni chapter.

Tufts Environmental Alumni (TEA) is teaming up with the Mystic River Watershed Association (MyRWA) for the Jumbo Alumni Month of Service. The Mystic River is an important part of the Tufts community landscape, but it is threatened by urbanization, pollution, and invasive plants. We will head out on the water in canoes to help remove the invasive water chestnuts. MyRWA will provide all the materials and expertise necessary. Join us and help the Mystic River thrive!

Exact meeting location will be announced as we get closer to the event. Please note that myRWA relies on a carefully planned schedule of volunteers to meet the needs of the community: please refrain from signing up if you cannot attend for the full duration. Space is limited, so sign up early!

All Jumbo Alumni Service Month participants will receive a Tufts Alumni volunteer shirt. Please select your preferred shirt size below (unisex sixing).
