In his talk, Dr. Orians will present interdisciplinary research on two globally important crops explores both direct effects of climate on tea and coffee farmer-agroecosystems, but also indirect effects of climate on in pest pressures. His work emphasizes the value of interdisciplinary research, the need for new experimental approaches for isolating the impacts of climate, and the importance of imagining how farmers might adapt to our changing world.
