Join us this Thursday for the Environmental Studies Lunch & Learn!

This week’s ENVS Lunch & Learn is with Ariel Kraten, the director of Go Blu. She brings an innovative perspective into how the textile, fashion, and apparel industries can adopt more sustainable practices. More info here.

Description of the Presentation: What is the relationship between our clothes and our environment? Because of many factors such as population growth, the proliferation of appearance-obsessed social media, and the explosion of fast fashion, this relationship is growing more and more contentious.Through the lens of items we all have in our closets, this presentation will look at the environmental impact of clothing manufacture, and share some of the cutting edge innovations from science and technology that are leading to breakthroughs in more sustainable production.
