Meet the new Administrative Coordinator!

Christina Kaltcheva

Administrative Coordinator

Christina Kaltcheva is a recent graduate of Brandeis University, where she earned her Bachelor's in Environmental Studies and International and Global Studies. Passionate about issues concerning urban planning and sustainable design, Christina additionally studied Sustainable Development while abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark during her undergraduate education and was drawn to TIE because of the institute's commitment to providing resources for those conducting innovative and interdisciplinary research on our current environmental challenges. At TIE, Christina will support the expansion of interdisciplinary academic initiatives, TIE's core programs, and assist with administration management and event coordination. When not at TIE, Christina enjoys biking in the city, drawing, and painting. Connect with Christina!

Meet the new Interns!

Nate Pacheco

Graduate Intern

Nate is an incoming first-year graduate student at the School of Engineering, where he will earn his Master's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Prior to joining TIE's leadership team, Nate completed his undergraduate degree in Environmental Engineering at Tufts, where he focused on water resources. At TIE, Nate  will primarily be assisting with coordination and administration for the SWM Master's degree program and TIE programming. A local to the greater Boston area, when not at TIE Nate enjoys hiking, climbing, running, and exploring the Somerville/Cambridge area. Connect with Nate!

Justin McCollum

Undergraduate Intern

Justin is a rising junior at the Tufts School of Arts and Sciences, majoring in Sociology with minors in Finance and Entrepreneurial Leadership Studies. Passionate about alternative energy, Justin hopes to earn pursue an MBA after graduation to work with startups in cleantech. At TIE, Justin will be involved in data management and administration for TIE programming. Outside his academics and TIE, Justin enjoys skiing, writing, and playing shows with his band.
