She expects to complete her studies in June 2024. Mai earned her MS in Economics from the London School of Economics (LSE) and her BS in Banking and Finance from the University of London. Current Studies and Future Goals

When asked why she wanted to be a TIE-SEI intern, Mai responded with the following: “My research interests span development economics, and the water, energy, food nexus, in general. I find the opportunity to work with Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) on the project "Water Nexus Modelling in Jordan and Morocco" to be in line with my research interests.”

Mai is currently pursuing a PhD in Economics and Public Policy at Tufts University in order to get rigorous training in applied economics. Upon graduating, she would like to maintain a career in policy research and apply her analytical skills in providing evidence-based recommendations for policy making.

Fun Facts!

When not doing school work, Mai likes traveling and exploring new places. She also enjoys going on Safari trips. Whether in the middle of nowhere in the desert or in the heart of rainforests, Mai loves to spend time with the environment away from noisy cities!
