Why did you join WSSS?

The focus of WSSS on the dynamics of problems across a wide breadth of water and society problems was especially interesting to me initially. The program has since allowed me to gain knowledge about projects and ideas which I would not normally come across in my current field of research.

What was your favorite part of the WSSS program?

Meeting with my fellow research track members, and comparing our research ideas in a really open and collaborative environment (also pizza is nice).

What was the most challenging part of the WSSS Program?

Deciding between research track and practicum was hard, since both are quite interesting.

What’s one piece of advice for incoming WSSS students?

Be sure to attend the first few meetings of the semester to get "a feel" for the two tracks. Attending the optional speakers is also great, as it may give you ideas for your own work!
