Since 2004, the Water: Systems, Science, & Society (WSSS) certificate program of Tufts University Institute of the Environment (TIE) has been providing Tufts students with valuable tools and perspectives regarding real-world, water issues.
Inclusive
WSSS is available to graduate students from any of Tufts University's graduate schools. Those who complete the program receive their WSSS certificate in addition to their masters or doctoral degree.
Interdisciplinary
Through multi-faceted coursework as well as interaction with classmates specializing in various disciplines, students are exposed to water issues from an interdisciplinary perspective.
Customizable
Students can customize their education by choosing from two academic tracks: practicum or research. Focus on professional experience through the practicum track or gain research expertise through the research track.
